Do I have to be a member of NAPCP to attend?
Nope! After your 2017 NAPCP Retreat experience, we’re confident you’ll want to join our community.

Tell me more about mentoring — what exactly is it?
When you register for the 2017 NAPCP Retreat, you’ll see the option to add on one-on-one mentoring with a speaker. Some speakers may choose to mentor in certain areas, so be sure to take a look at their speaker pages. Before Retreat, we will introduce you to your requested mentor. Retreat after Retreat, we consistently receive excellent feedback about how this reserved, focused time with mentors is invaluable, both in business and personally. As each speaker offers a limited number of coaching spots, we encourage you to reserve your mentoring session now!

What airport should I fly into?
Santa Barbara Municipal Airport (SBA) is ideal, as the Canary Hotel is less than 10 miles from the airport. Transportation options include rental cars and shuttle services. Please be aware that Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is an approximately 90 minute drive from the Canary Hotel, without traffic. When your Retreat registration is complete, you will be added to our private attendee group page on Facebook, through which you can coordinate travel with new friends! Visit the Details page for more information.

Do I need a passport?
If you will not be arriving to Santa Barbara from within the United States, you will need proper identification and any required paperwork upon entry. Please ensure that your passport is up-to-date!

Where should I stay?

The 2017 NAPCP Retreat will be held exclusively at the Canary Hotel, in Santa Barbara, California. We will be immersing ourselves in this southern California hot spot for the incredible group rate of $239 (plus tax) per night. Rooms with two full size beds are available, and we advise that you consider finding a roommate! Rooms are available on a first come, first served basis or until our cut-off date of Friday, December 16, 2016 (whichever comes first). Visit the Details page for reservation information.

Can I extend my stay at the Canary Hotel?

The hotel has graciously offered to extend our group rate of $239 (plus tax) per night for pre- and post-stays. As these sleeping rooms are not contracted by NAPCP, their availability is limited by the hotel. Reserve your room early if you would like to take advantage of the group rate and extend your stay around the Retreat dates!

Will there be any free time during Retreat?

Yes! On Wednesday afternoon you may attend a live shoot, or simply relax and unwind as well as an optional wine excursion on Thursday afternoon.

What if I decide to stay with family or friends in the area?

We highly recommend that Retreat attendees stay at the Canary Hotel. That being said, we also understand that there may be extenuating or special circumstances. Please note that the city of Los Angeles is a minimum 90-minute drive from the Canary Hotel. Don’t forget to check out the private attendee group on Facebook, to coordinate your accommodations and travel!

Is it possible to find someone to share a sleeping room or airport shuttle with?
Visit the private Retreat attendees Facebook group to make new friends, and make arrangements for shared accommodations and travel.

Will I need a rental car?

You may need a car to drive to and from the airport and hotel. You will not need a car for Retreat events. Valet parking is included with your stay, as long as you are an overnight guest of the Canary Hotel.

What meals are included in my investment?

NAPCP is providing light food and drink at our cocktail reception on Tuesday evening, as well as dinner at our dinner reception the same night. Full breakfast and lunch will be served on Wednesday and Thursday as well as a Dessert Reception and Farewell Party Thursday night.

What level of experience, and years in business, is this retreat catering to?
Although we welcome those with all levels of experience, the majority of the content presented at this event will be catered to those who have been in business for at least a year.

What should I expect from my experience at this retreat?

Check into the 2017 NAPCP Retreat with an open mind and an open heart. This retreat is structured to allow for intimate conversations and customized learning. We will gain knowledge from our luminaries, but also from each other. The relationships made and developed at NAPCP Retreats are truly priceless.
